学校简介/ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
燕山大学是全国重点大学，河北省重点支持的国家一流大学和世界一流学科建设高校，北京高科大学联盟成员。燕山大学源于哈尔滨工业大学，前身为东北重型机械学院，是原机械工业部直属高校，1978年被确定为全国重点高等院校。1985年至1997年学校整体南迁秦皇岛市，更名为燕山大学。
Yanshan University is one of national key universities. It is the major university supported by Hebei Province in the development of national first-class university and world first-class disciplines. YSU is a member of the Cooperation Consortium of Beijing High Technology Universities. Yanshan University, as an institution of Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute under the administration of the former Ministry of Machinery Industry, grew out of the renowned Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1978, it was identified as a national key institution of higher education. From 1985 to 1997, it had moved to Qinhuangdao City, and acquired its current name Yanshan University (YSU).

Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, where Yanshan University is located, is a national historical and cultural city. Qinhuangdao City has long been known as summer resort. It is "a city in the forest" or "forest in the city" and enjoys a reputation for its scenic beauty with green lands and blue waters.
燕山大学自 90 年代中期开始招收来华留学生，共计招收与培养学历与非学历留学生 3000 多人次，来自美、英、俄、韩等40多个国家。学校现有国际学生近500人，涵盖语言进修生与本、硕、博学历生。学校于2023年正式通过教育部来华留学生高等教育质量认证，意味着学校培养国际学生的能力得到了国家认证。
Since the mid-1990s, Yanshan University has enrolled international students coming to China. It has recruited and trained over 3000 degree and non-degree international students from more than 40 countries including the US, the UK, Russia, South Korea, etc. Nearly 500 international students in school, including language learners, undergraduate students, master's students, and doctoral students. In 2023, YSU formally passed the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Quality Certification for International Students, which means that the school's ability to cultivate international students has been nationally certified.

申请流程/APPLICATION PROCESS
1.申请时间：即日起至2026年5月21日。
2. 登录“中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统”（http://www.campuschina.org/），在线填写《中国政府奖学金申请表》并提交所需申请材料；燕山大学招生机构代码：10216，“丝绸之路”中国政府奖学金项目类别为：B类。
3. 登录“燕山大学国际学生在线申请系统”（https://admission.ysu.edu.cn/），在线注册账号，申请“材料科学与工程”专业（英文授课，硕士研究生或博士研究生），奖学金类型选择 “中国政府奖学金-高校自主招生-丝绸之路项目”填写申请、提交申请，并上传《中国政府奖学金申请表》。
4. 面试安排：线上面试，时间将通过邮件通知。请确保邮箱地址正确，并定期检查邮箱，以免错过考试安排的通知。
1. Application period: From now until May 21, 2026.
2. Log in to the "CSC Online Application System" (http://www.campuschina.org/) and fill out the "China Government Scholarship Application Form" online, and submit the required application materials; Yanshan University's enrollment code is 10216, and the "Silk Road" China Government Scholarship program category is B.
3. Log in to the "Yanshan University International Student Online Application System" (https://admission.ysu.edu.cn/). Register an account online and apply for majors in "Materials Science and Engineering" (taught in English, for master's or doctoral students). Select the scholarship type as "Chinese government scholarship - University Program - Silk Road Program", fill out and submit the application, and upload the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form".
4. Interview arrangement: Online interview, time will be notified via email. Please ensure that your email address is correct and regularly check your email to avoid missing notifications about exam arrangements.
申请材料/APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
所有以下文件应提供高清彩色扫描复印件：
1.《中国政府奖学金申请表》；
2.护照首页：护照有效期应晚于2027年3月；
3.头像：白色背景电子照片，100-200kb
4.经公证的最高学历证明。如申请人为在校学生，须提交本人就读学校出具的预计毕业证明或在学证明；
5.学习成绩单：非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文的译本。
6.来华学习或研究计划（不少于1000字）：用中文或英文书写；
7.两名教授或副教授的推荐信：用中文或英文书写；
8.《外国人体格检查表》（此表由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，须英文填写）。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效，检查结果有效期为6个月。
9.无犯罪记录证明：申请人须提交由所在地公安机关出具的有效期内的无犯罪记录证明，通常应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件。
10.导师接收函：申请者需自行联系导师开具接收函，导师名单详见：https://ies.ysu.edu.cn/Teachers.htm
获得奖学金申请资格，必须提供以下材料之一：
（1）上一学历阶段学习成绩平均在80分以上；
（2）上一学位毕业论文取得良好及以上成绩；
（3）雅思成绩需达到6.5分以上（单科不低于5.5），或托福成绩需达到85分以上（单科不低于20），或多邻国成绩需达到105分以上；
（4）申请硕士项目者，在本国或中国正式发行刊物上以第一作者或通讯作者名义发表过作品或文章；申请博士项目者，在学术刊物上以第一作者或通讯作者名义发表过较高水平的学术论文。
All the following documents should be provided with high-quality colored scanned copies:
1.Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship;
2.The first page of the applicant's passport: with a validity date later than September 2025.
3.Photo: Digital Photo size: 100kb-200kb with white background
4. Diploma and certificate of highest education (notarized photocopy): An applicant who is a current university student shall submit the certificate of expected graduation or student status issued by his/her university;
5. Academic transcript: If your transcript is not in Chinese nor English, please translate and notarize it, then upload both original and notarized versions;
6.Study or research plan (no less than 1000 words), written in Chinese or English;
7. Recommendation letters: An applicant for a postgraduate program or for academic education as a senior scholar shall submit two recommendation letters in Chinese or in English from professors or associate professors.
8.Copies of the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (must be filled out in English by the Chinese health quarantine department): Applicants should undergo physical examination in accordance with the requirements in the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, and any forms with missing items, unstamped photos, or no signatures and stamps from doctors or hospitals are invalid. The results are valid for 6 months;
9.Non-Criminal record certificate: Applicants should submit a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by the local authorities within the validity period, normally a proof file within 6 months before submission of the application.
10. Supervisor Acceptance Letter: Applicants need to contact their supervisor themselves to issue an acceptance letter. The list of mentors can be found in: https://ies.ysu.edu.cn/Teachers.htm
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must provide one of the following documents:
(1) The average academic achievement of previous academic stage is above 80;
(2) The previous degree’s thesis rated with good result or above;
(3) An IELTS score of 6.5 or above (all bands 5.5 or above), a TOEFL score of 85 or above (all bands 20 or above), or a Duolingo score of 105 or above;
(4) For master's program applicants, published works or articles being the first author or corresponding author in accredited publications of the home country or China; for doctoral program applicants, published high-level academic papers being the first author or corresponding author in academic journals.
录取流程/ADMISSION PROCESS
1. 申请人需参加学校面试。
2. 我校将根据初审及面试成绩，确定奖学金候选人名单，上报国家留学基金委。
3. 经国家留学基金委审核后，奖学金获得者按规定时间来校报到。

2.YSU will determine the list of scholarship candidates based on the documents review and interview results, and submit it to the China Scholarship Council.
3.After being reviewed by the China Scholarship Council, scholarship recipients are required to report to the school at the designated time.
